Copenhagen, JAN 29, 2003 (newstodate): DHL is by far the largest airfreight company at Polish airport, Gdansk, lifting about half of the total international airfreight.
In 2002, the airport agregated a total of 2,211 tonnes of air cargo, comprising 734.5 tonnes of international exports, and 1,023 tonnes of international imports.
On the export side, DHL Aviation flew 384.7 tonnes out of Gdansk, while its imports tonnage was 585.5 tonnes.
Until the end of 2002, Gdansk was linked to DHL Aviation's Nordic hub at Copenhagen Airport.
Since this year, Gdansk integrates with DHL Aviation's German hub at Cologne which also links with DHL Aviation's services at Warsaw.
