OCT 06, 2003 (newstodate): Asiana Cargo plans to increase its focus on the Nordic region.
-The Nordic markets are indeed significant to Asiana Cargo, even if we are still off-line, says Lars Droog, Asiana Cargo sales supervisor.
-Among the attractive cargo loads is the Norwegian export of fresh salmon that benefits from Asiana's extensive route network via Incheon to a range of Japanese, Chinese and other destinations importing these goods, he says.
-Of course the competition in the Nordic markets with other carriers is quite intense, but like other Asian carriers now, Asiana, too, wants to grow so we are definitely monitoring this region as well to assess potentials, says Lars Droog.
Asiana Cargo is represented in Norway by GSA Norway, and in Denmark, Norway, Sweden as well as in Holland by Kales Airline Services.
