OCT 20, 2003 (newstodate): From this autumn, Cubana Airlines plans to start operations at Copenhagen Airport.
Until Christmas, the airline will operate a bi-weekly nonstop flight, using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft leased from Swedish charter operator Novair. After Christmas, frequency will be increased to one weekly flight.
The flights are chartered by Danish tour operator Kuoni/Apollo to take Scandinavian tourists to Cuban holiday resorts.
Cargo GSA, Sirius has been contracted to sell the cargo capacity on the route.
The airline will be Sirius' third airline client, after launch customer Japan Airlines Cargo and, from July this year, Arkia Israeli Airline.
