NOV 07, 2003 (newstodate): December 1 may see the introduction of Korean Air Cargo services between Luxembourg and Korea, industry sources claim.
The routing will be Seoul-Helsinki-Luxembourg-Seoul.
The route Luxembourg-Seoul-Luxembourg is currently served by Cargolux in cooperation with Asiana, which has so far held the traffic rights from the Korean side.
Korean Air Cargo has now obtained Korean traffic rights, but according to the Luxembourg Ministry of Transportation, Cargolux' flights will not be affected as the route will not have the Asiana prefix since the cooperation will be commercial only.
Korean Air Cargo has not yet set up an office in Luxembourg, and neither the company's office in Amsterdam nor in Brussels is in a position to comment on the issue, or confirm the opening date in Luxembourg.
