NOV 21, 2003 (newstodate): From the start of next year's summer program, Czech airline CSA plans to expand its route network significantly.
New on the route map will be Samara and Ekaterinburg in Russia, Baku in Azerbaijan, Krakow in Poland, and Cluj, Roumania, pending a positive result in ongoing negotiations.
The route to Samara will be served three times weekly, the routes to Ekaterinburg and Baku twice weekly, while Krakow will be served eight times per week.
Frequency on the current route to Yerevan, Armenia, will go from one to two weekly flights, and CSA also plans to expand with new destinations Dortmund, Germany, served six times weekly, and Marseille, France, six flights per week.
To operate this new expanded route network, CSA will take in three more Boeing 737-400 aircraft, plus three ATR-42 in 2004, bringing the fleet to a total of 41 aircraft serving 75 destinations with 180 daily flights by March 2004.
