NOV 26, 2003 (newstodate): Taiwan's 2nd largest airline, Eva Air has contracted GECAS for lease of a converted MD-11 freighter.
The aircraft is currently leased to EVA as a passenger aircraft. Beginning in April 2004 it will be converted by Boeing is expected to enter service as a freighter in August 2004.
In addition to the MD-11, GECAS currently leases two Airbus A330-200s to EVA Air. EVA is scheduled to take delivery of an additional six new A330-200 aircraft through the spring of 2005 that will be leased from GECAS.
