NOV 24, 2003 (newstodate): US civil aviation agency, FAA has issued an airworthiness directive concerning sensor problems and wire modifications on Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
FAA estimates that the directive will affect a total of 468 aircraft flying in the USA, while costs for the industry are estimated between USD 6,320 and 12,380 per directive for modifications and replacements.
JAA tests have proved that the center fuel tanks do not provide the required expansion on aircraft of these types.
