NOV 11, 2003 (newstodate): According to CASS statistics, Norwegian exported 5,063 tonnes of fresh fish to Osaka, corresponding to 13.6 percent of the market's total volumes during January-August.
Ranking second in volume, Hong Kong generated 4,338 tonnes of Norwegian air cargo.
Tokyo came third, with 3,993 tonnes, leaving a gap to the list's No four, Singapore, with 2,215 tonnes, and No five, New York, 1,331 tonnes.
In addition to cargo on IATA carriers, much Norwegian salmon export is airlifted directly out of Oslo on Aeroflots two weekly DC-10 freighter services to Osaka.
