NOV 03, 2003 (newstodate): SWISS confirms that it is negotiating with Embraer about deferring delivery of the Embraer 170 aircraft.
In March this year Embraer confirmed that SWISS was reducing its firm orders for Embraer 170 and Embraer 195 aircraft from a total of 60 to 30, 15 of each model.
The Embraer 170 is planned for entry into SWISS service by August 2004, taking in the first four aircraft next year, followed by eight in 2005 and the remaining three in 2006.
Deliveries of the Embraer 195 is planned to start in 2006.
