NOV 24, 2003 (newstodate): New German budget airline, V Bird, has finally been cleared to operate flights during the weekend from its homebase, Niederrhein in Weeze-Laarbruch.
The airline started operations from October 27, but was told soon after to suspend its weekend operations at the airport.
Since then, the airline has been forced to operate from other neighbouring airports, incurring passenger discomfort and remunerations.
The airline is now free to operate its full program out of Niederrhein, including five daily flights to Munich, four dailies to Berlin, three flights for Vienna, and one daily flight to Nice and Helsinki, respectively.
