DEC 11, 2003 (newstodate): According to CASS, Denmark's air cargo market has been able to sustain growth during 2003.
In January-September, the market decreased 0.9 percent in volumes, to 39,814 tonnes, but the IATA Airlines managed a 7.7 percent growth in total turnover, at DKK 994.8 billion, warranting a sound development in yields.
N America, taking a 28.7 percent share of the Danish volumes, remained almost stable, only 0.1 percent down, while Japan rose by 14.1 percent in volume, and 19.9 percent in value.
IATA air cargo from Denmark to the Middle East also increased, up 32.9 percent in volumes now comprising 5.7 percent of totals, while gross turnover followed suit, up 30.3 percent.
