DEC 01, 2003 (newstodate): The four-party cooperation for CIS transport and logistics solutions, just2CIS announced today is actually well-tested and functioning for quite some years already.
-Skyroute Logistics has worked with ATRAN Cargo Airlines for almost ten years, and the cooperation was extended to comprise EasternAirCargo and Miras Air Group a few years ago, says Steve Matthews, Skyroute Logistics CEO.
-The launch today is essentially a re-branding and market positioning manoeuvre aiming at enhancing the visibility of the cooperation in the market, he says.
Matthews says the four companies are now collecting data to present, early next year, aggregated statistics to prove the volume of the operations that are supposed to be quite "impressive".
The services offered by just2CIS are targetting freight forwarders with a need for transport and logistics from Europe and NOrth America into the CIS countries.
Among the current customers are DHL that uses the services into their off-line destinations in the region.
just2CIS transport its cargo from North America to CIS on a mix of commercial airlines and freighter services, and in Europe the service uses Skyroute's hub at Luxembourg, offering 6-12 weekly chartered flights into the CIS, primarily Bishkek, Almaty and Baku, and EasternAirCargo's hub at Leipzig Airport with freighter flights into Moscow, Kiev, Tblisi, and Baku.
