FEB 24, 2003 (newstodate): The Russian Federation, the Baltic countries, and Ukraine hold the three largest shares of the combined Baltic/CIS air trade with Western Europa, according to Boeing's World Cargo Forecast 2002-2003.
In 2000, the total volume towards the Western Europe from the regions was 148,000 tonnes.
The Russian Federation generated 48 percent of this volume, followed by the Baltics (19%), and Ukraine, 16%.
Then followed Kazakhstan, 5%, Uxbekistan,3%, Azerbaikan, 3%, and Turkmenistan, 3%. The remaining 3% was generated by "other" countries.
