MAR 11, 2003 (newstodate): Last week's "women's day" on March 8 generated a major export of fresh-cut flowers to Russia.
-In total, we sent 45 tonnes of flowers by Aeroflot from Hahn to Moscow plus 10 tonnes as belly freight on passenger aircraft out of Amsterdam and Dusselcorf to satisfy Russian gentlemen's demand for the traditional flower gift, says Ton Smulders, Active Airline Representative, cargo sales agent for Aeroflot in the Dutch market.
In the CIS air cargo market, Active Airline Representative's principials also include Pulkovo, Belavia, Coyne Airways, Dniproavia, and Siberian Airlines.
