APR 04, 2003 (newstodate): Cargolux announces its certification as Phase 1 compliant by Cargo 2000.
The certification implies the carrier's ability to regularly measure and report on the flow of its shipments from airport to airport.
The certification follows monitorings of Cargolux shipments on the route Madrid-Luxembourg-Hong Kong over a period of time. Cargolux achieved a 100 percent score, with all shipments delivered on time and as promised, the company says.
To remain compliant, Cargolux still needs to certify a number of gateways including London, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, and Tokyo, where staff has now been trained to perform up to the standards.
Thus, Cargolux expects a further 11 stations to be measured by June this year.
