APR 29, 2003 (newstodate): From April, CASS Scandinavia has extended its activities to comprise Finland as well, subsequently changing name to CASS Nordic.
-Pending the outcome of the last remaining snags, CASS will take in settlement of invoices between airlines, forwarders and GSAs in Finland as from April, meaning that invoicing of services will take effect from around middle of May, says Ulla Nilson, CASS Nordic manager.
According to Nilson, first airlines to join CASS in Finland are KLM and Air Canada, to be followed by Martinair from May 1.
Finnair Cargo has still not joined, probably due to some systems requirements, yet unsettled, but according to industry sources the company will join CASS by January next year.
-We have had close communication with Finnair all along, and Finnair is also member of CASS in the Scandinavian countries, so I have no doubts that the airline will join eventually, says Ulla Nilson.
