APR 30, 2003 (newstodate): Lufthansa has announced further measures to meet the effect on civil aviation from the sustained global economic downturn.
Taking effect by May 15, working hours will be reduced to 35 hours a week with corresponding reductions in salaries, and the airline will ground another 15 aircraft, bringing the grounded fleet to a total of 70 aircraft including those of the airline's regional partner airlines.
