MAY 23, 2003 (newstoedate): Hungarian project freight forwarder and transportation company, AES was responsible for the cargo ground handling of the first post-war commercial airline in Baghdad Airport.
The aircraft, arriving from Atlanta, carried 30 tons of medical equipment for IMC with AES Cargo providing the cargo on-ground handling and delivery. The delivery filled 8 AES Cargo trucks.
With the opening of the airport for commercial traffic, Baghdad-bound deliveries can now arrive direct to the city rather than being routed through AES Cargos southern Iraq office at the port of Umm Qasr.
