MAY 12, 2003 (newstodate): Air Atlanta maintains a very optimistic view on the future of air transportation, and will continue to take in new aircraft according to the current plan.
-With the latest two Boeing 747 freighters that will join our fleet by June, we will sustain our plan to add four aircraft per year until 2006, ending up with a total of 15-16 freighter aircraft, says Erling Aspelund, Air Atlanta commercial manager.
Aspelund says the same plan holds for new passenger aircraft that will also expand the fleet to 15-16 aircraft by 2006.
Air Atlanta, that offers aircraft on ACMI contracts with operators, has recently added a new batch of ex-Ansett Australia pilots after having teken them through a conversion programme in Iceland and the UK from Boeing 767 to Boeing 747 certification.
