MAY 19, 2003 (newstodate): Norwegian broker, Aircontact is planning three flights with aid shipments for Iraq.
All flights will be operated with IL-76 aircraft flying from Bratislava to Kuwait and Amman, respectively.
-The first flight will leave for Kuwait on May 20, the second is slated for flight to Amman on May 21, and the third, calling at both Kuwait and Amman, will lease soon after, says Christian Juul Moller, Aircontact.
According to Moller, shipments comprise 20-30 Norwegian-produced warehouse units donated by the Norwegian state to WFP's campaign in Iraq.
The shipments are trucked from Norway to Bratislava, and will be taken by trucks from Kuwait and Amman into Iraq to serve as food warehouses at a range of destinations.
