MAY 02, 2003 (newstodate): The economies of the three Baltic states are on a sound course, with Lithuania soaring at nine percent growth during the Q1, according to latest statistics.
Lithuania may now hope for a record year even bettter than 1997 when an annual growth at seven percent was attained.
Latvia and Estonia are also expected to have growth figures in 2003 of around 5 percent.
This may warrant a similar growth in Baltic air cargo exports.
Thus Latvian freight forwarding company, Airkargo LTD, earlier told newstodate that the company is seeing volumes up by 2-3 percent or even more during the first four months of the year.
