MAY 21, 2003 (newstodate): In Q1, the Danish air cargo market by IATA carriers sustained significant growth both in volumes, up four percent, and revenues, up 12.5 percent compared to last year.
Total IATA export air cargo was 12,968 tonnes, while revenues soared to DKK 324.6 million.
Thus, Denmark was the only Scandinavian IATA airfreight market to continue a clear growth trend in a stable market situation.
At 26.8 percent of total volumes, North America is Denmark's single largest market and remained unchanged against 2002 in volumes though revenue was down 5.3 percent.
China was up 18.4 percent in volumes, and 19.4 percent in revenue, while Japan, constituting 10 percent of total volumes, grew by 19.1 percent in volumes, and 21 percent in revenues.
