MAY 16, 203 (newstodate): With effect from May, ICAO has named Gr�tar H. Oskarsson Director of Civil Aviation Regulatory Office in Pristina, Kosovo for the duration of one year, according to a Icelandic release.
Oskarsson retired from Iceland's CAA in April.
Oskarsson started in the airworthiness division for ICAA in 1967, and became director of that division in 1975.
After 20 years of service, Oskarsson became General Director of the CAA in Namibia for five years.
In 2000 the Nordic countries backed Oskarsson for the office of Air Navigation Commissioner at the ICAO in Montreal. He served as a commissioner until 2002 when he came back to ICAA to become special adviser to the General Director of ICAA.
