MAY 05, 2003 (newstodate): An extraordinary shareholders meeting of Polish airline LOT today sacked two deputy presidents, Piotr Ikanowicz and Marek Rymkiewicz.
This leaves control of the airline in the hands of Marek Grabarek who is the acting LOT president, representative of the Economy and Labor Ministry on the supervisory board.
According to Polish sources, the shareholders also decided that the new head of the supervisory board would be former finance minister Marek Belka.
Finally, co-owner SAirLines Europe BV appointed Joop Poelwijk member of the supervisory board.
