MAY 13, 2003 (newstodate): By the end of Q1, SAS Scanbdinavian Airlines had a surplus of aircraft in proportion to the network served.
In total, the airline had 195 aircraft, of which only 159 were required to secure the production.
Of these 36 redundant aircraft 11 have been leased out, while the remaining 25 aircraft will either be sold or leased out. Also some of these aircraft are now on leasing contracts and will be handed b ack as they expire.
