MAY 19, 2003 (newstodate): UN Joint Logistics Centre,UNJLC, has today invited UN Agencies, IOs and accredited NGOs to state their requirements for passenger and cargo services in Iraq.
Operations will be provided by UNHAS, The United Nations Humanitarian Air Service, which is an air transport service established and managed by WFP.
Under the scheme, all requests and bookings for air transport of passenger and supplies will be coordinated by UNJLC and must be handed in not less than 72 hours in advance for regional cargo and 96 hours for strategic cargo.
