JUN 03, 2003 (newstodate): Budapest Airport, which is responsible for operating Budapest Ferihegy Airport, has signed a contract with Swedish provider IFS to implement its IT systems for logistics and financial management.
In its first phase becoming operational by the end of 2003, the contract has a value in excess of US$ 1 million.
Plans for subsequent phases include the addition of service management and corporate performance management components as well as an increased number of users.
With 2300 employees, Budapest Airport also operates Si�fok-Kiliti airport, including the blind landing system, the buildings for navigation and ground services for aircraft and passengers as well as aircraft ground services, passenger transport, goods delivery, storage and other commercial services, airport passenger information service, and technical back-up at the airport.
