JUN 12, 2003 (newstodate): Martinair is eyeing potentials in the Baltic region and plans to conduct a market survey this year.
-Even if export voluems from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania may still not be considered very large, growth rates are reportedly quite significant, and potentials are indeed attractive, says Thorbjrn Lundblad, Martinair Cargo manager Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic region.
According to Mr Lundblad, a survey of the three markets will be implemented this year, to assess the situation and identify viable cargo sales representatives in the three countries.
-I am convinced that among Martinair's services, out freighters five times weekly to Hong Kong and, from June 20, the once-weekly freighter service to Nanjing will prove to be attractive to customers also in the Baltic region, he says.
