JUL 15, 2003 (newstodate): The Czech Airports Authority has signed a contract with Metrostav, a.s. to build the connecting building of Project EUrope Terminal North 2 at Prague-Ruzyne International Airport.
The contract is the outcome of international tender, which was called for by CAA in April 2003.
The building company will be responsible for the complete construction of a connecting building on the area of 16,545m2 including the complete technological equipment.
The connecting building is located between the new and the existing terminal and its construction, which began on July 12, also marks the beginning of the construction of the whole Terminal, planned to become operational from October 2005.
Co-ordination of the construction of individual buildings of Project Europe, as well as the control of quality, amounts, costs and financing of construction works and of other activities related with the construction, is in charge of Bovis Lend Lease construction manager with whom CAA signed contract on June 30, 2003.
