JUL 18m 2003 (newstodate): Vienna Airport will be interested in taking stock in Slovenian Bratislava Airport.
According to news published at Austrian forwarding company, Gebruder Weiss' website, the Slovenian government plans to privatize the airport by the end of this year.
-Vienna Airport would definitely like to either enter a cooperation with or take shares in Bratislava Airport, Friedrich Lehr, Vienna Airport's chief of strategic planning, told the company.
The distance between the two airports is only 45 km, and together the airports serve a catchment area comprising some 5.6 million people and many industrial areas.
