AUG 29, 2003 (newstodate): The Icelandic carriers have applied for 7th freedom rights to operate freely between Iceland, Greenland and Denmark, and a meeting has been scheduled in September between DAnish and Icelandic authorities.
The move comes in response to the Danish authorities' recent extension of Air Greenland's rights to operate between Iceland and Denmark.
It is not known if any Icelandic airlines would actually exploit the right if it were granted. Earlier attempts have failed.
