AUG 29, 2003 (newstodate): Danish airfreight company Star Air, a company in the APM Group, is currently negotiating a new contract with UPS, expected to be inked by October.
Star Air has long been operating for UPS in Europe, with four Boeing 727-100 and four Boeing 757-200 freighters stationed at Cologne.
-Our current contract expires by November, and we have high hopes for a continuation of the cooperation, says Per Brinch, Maersk Air communications manager.
Mr Brinch confirms that acquisition of more large freighters like Boeing 757 may become an option if required by the new contract.
