AUG 12, 2003 (newstodate): Turkmenkhovayollary, Turkmen Airlines, has signed a $130 million contract for the acquisition of a Boeing 767-300 aircraft to be used on its long-haul routes.
The airline currently operates a fleet of three Boeing-717 aircraft on local routes, two Boeing 737 and two Boeing-757 aircraft on international routes.
The airline plans to add a further two Boeing 717 aircraft for local routes, expected to be delivered shortly.
