SEP 18, 2003 (newstodate): Slovenian airline Adria is succesful in the field of third party aircraft maintenance.
Since September 2002, when Adria was authorized by the aircraft manufacturer CRJ Bombardier from Canada as the first European maintenance centre, the airline's European Centre for the Canadair Regional Jet aircraft maintenance has completed work on 22 CRJ-100/200 and 18 CRJ-700 aircraft.
Customers include Lufthansa City Line, Brit Air, Maersk Air, Air Dolomiti, and Air Nostrum.
New agreements to perform works on 27 CRJ-700 and 29 CRJ-200 aircraft have currently been landed, with work to be completed by April 2004.
During the first six months of 2002, third party aircraft maintance has generated revenue of 3.4 million Euro for Adria, and this has also generated revenue for Ljubljana airport, which in the period from September last year to the end of April 2003 amounted to more than 37,000 Euro.
