SEP 12, 2003 (newstodate): From September 15, Finnair Cargo will introduce a new freighter service between Vienna and Helsinki airports.
The flights will be operated by European Air Transport with a Boeing 757.
The new freighter service aims at providing optimal acces to and from the growth markets in the East European region within the catchment area of Vienna Airport, a company spokesman says.
Onward connections are secured under a cooperation with Austrian Airlines for destinations including Prague, Budapest, Beograd, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Timisoara, Otopeni, Sofia, Bratislava, Brno, and Minsk.
Finnair Cargo suspended its UK freighter service via Gothenburg before the summer. But instead of reviving it, the company has decided to focus on the E European markets instead.
