SEP 05, 2003 (newstodate): With effect from November 1, Finnair has named Maunu von L�ders new managing director of Nordic Airlink.
In August, Finnair took 85 percent of the shares in the airline, aiming at a strong position in the Nordic market for low-cost airlines.
Before taking up his new post with Nordic Airlink, Maunu von L�ders worked for two years as Sales Manager for the oneworld global airline alliance, of which Finnair is an active member. Prior to that, he worked for some years with Finnair, as Sales Manager and Sales Unit Director in Sweden, Austria, the USA and Denmark, and most recently as Vice President, Alliances and International Relations, at the company's head office.
Nordic Airlink plans to start its new route, Stockholm Arlanda-Oslo from October 27, with eight daily departures in each direction.
