SEP 02, 2003 (newstodate): With October 31 as cut-off date for filing Letters of Interest, Romanian carrier Tarom has called on national or international players to indicate interest in either a joint venture with, or an acquisition of, Tarom's air cargo business.
Tarom's plans for improving its cargo business comprises both venues, and will cover cargo sales, cargo terminal at Bucharest Otopeni International Airport, and cargo handling services for Tarom and other airlines.
Based on an evaluation of all incoming LoIs, Tarom will shortlist the interested companies and initiate separate discussions with them under a confidentiality agreement.
