JAN 15, 2004 (newstodate): Latvian carrier airBaltic plans for continued fleet expansion in 2004.
-In 2004 we plan to open several new routes, as well as to significantly increase the number of flights to existing destinations. In the same light, we will continue to supplement airBaltic's fleet by adding four more Boeing 737, with two arriving in the spring, and two in autumn, as well as a number of Fokker 50 aircraft, says Bertolt Flick, airBaltic president.
-By the end of 2004, airBaltic will have a fleet of 14 aircraft, namely five Boeing 737, three Avro RJ 70, and six Fokker 50 aircraft, he says.
In 2003, airBaltic supplemented its fleet by adding one Boeing 737-500. Also during 2003, airBaltic introduced new routes to four destinations - Hamburg, Minsk, Brussels and Amsterdam.
