JAN 16, 2004 (newstodate): Austrian Airlines has great plans for expansion in its neighbouring market of Slovakia, the airline's second largest.
Already from May 1, the airline will launch direct routes out of Bratislava to London, Paris, and Brussels, and the Austrian Airlines Group also prepares to participate in the forthcoming privatisation of Bratislava Airport, posied to be launched either late this year or by early 2005.
Since 1996, Austrian Airlines has also operated a route from Slovakian city Kosice, which has been designated for privatisation in a separate tender.
