JAN 13, 2004 (newstodate): Effective from January 15, Cargolux will add a fourth weekly frequency to Budapest.
From this date, the flight will be routed from Luxembourg to Istanbul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Abu Dhabi, Budapest and thence back to Luxembourg.
Increased demands for more capacity, expecially from Hong Kong and Bangkok have driven the company to introduce this new frequency, says Cargolux in a release.
Cargolux is thus the only carrier offering direct services between Budapest and Asia. Commodities include textiles, hi-tech, pharma goods and perishables.
The services at Budapest also allows Cargolux to provide services to Austrian destinations Salzburg, Graz, Linz, and Vienna through an onvernight road feeder service.
Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Bucharest and Belgrade are also served by Cargolux via its new Budapest-hub.
