JAN 15, 2004 (newstodate): From January 17, privately-owned Iranian carrier Kish Airline will start operations from Tehran on a route Tehran-Copenhagen-Stockholm-Tehran.
The airline will operate TU-154 aircraft on the route, but as its first of three A310 aircraft enters the fleet by early March, this aircraft type will take over the once-weekly services on the route.
Iran Air already operates weekly flights into Scandinavia with Boeing 747-100SP aircraft.
Kish Airline's aircraft fleet currently comprises four Tu-154 and four Fokker F50 aircraft.
The airline will accept air cargo on the flights but has not yet named a Scandinavian cargo GSA.
