JAN 19, 2004 (newstodate): In 2003, North America remained Sweden's single most important market for IATA air cargo exports, constituting 44 percent of the total volumes and even growing by 6.9 percent to 40,189 tonnes, according to CASS statistics.
With 7.7 percent of total ex-Sweden volumes on IATA carriers, China came second in volumes, 7,075 tonnes, though down 0.4 percent on 2002.
Only marginally less was taken to South East Asia, corresponding to 7.1 percent of total volumes, but these airfreight volumes were down 21.7 percent on 2002 during the last year.
As for average yields over the year, North America fetched SEK 13.66, China 12.03, and South East Asia 12.51.
