JAN 14, 2004 (newstodate): From April 3, new Danish tour operator Dansk Vestindien plans to launch a direct flight from Copenhagen to St Croix, the Virgin Islands.
The route will be operated every second week till the end of the season, with last flight on August 20, 2004. Flights will then be resumed around October 10, 2004, after the end of the hurricane period.
The tour operator cooperates with Danish air broker ATC that is currently negotiating an aircraft lease.
While the long-term plan builds on ACMI lease of an A310 aircraft from a yet undisclosed aircraft leasing company, a preliminary solution with "another aircraft type" will be in place for the launch of the route
