JAN 06, 2004 (newstodate): SAS Cargo has named Intersped its cargo GSA in Serbia/Montenegro.
Since October 26, 2003, the SAS budget airline snowflake has been operating into Beograd, flying twice weekly to Copenhagen and Stockholm, respectively, with Boeing 737 aircraft.
-Cargo capacity on the routes is, of course, limited by passenger and hand luggage volumes, but we are still able to lift up to some 1,500 kg per flight, says Marianne Hurtig, SAS Cargo area cargo manager.
According to Mrs Hurtig, Danish and Swedish companies are increasingly targeting the markets of Serbia/Montenegro, and potentials for ex-Beograd exports are attractive as well while still in the early stages.
