OCT 13, 2004 (newstodate): On October 12, AirBridge Cargo commenced scheduled services between Frankfurt and Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport.
The new flight will be operated four times weekly with Boeing 747 freighters.
-This new service is designed to meet our customers' demands for operations into Sheremetyevo in addition to our existing flights into Moscow Domodedovo, says Stan Wraight, AirBridge Cargo managing director.
Launched earlier this year, AirBridge Cargo provides scheduled cargo transportation between Asia and Europe via Russia. The first Boeing-747-200 was delivered in April 2004, and in May the airline started commercial operations from Luxembourg to Beijing, and from Luxembourg to Shanghai via Moscow and Novosibirsk.
