OCT 08, 2004 (newstodate): After years of talks and visions, Cargo 2000 is now strongly focused on measuring performance.
-Before the end of this year performance measuring will be implemented at 12 cities including Amsterdam, London, Paris, Chicago, Hong Kong and Singapore that are already up and running, in addition to Frankfurt, Milan, Vienna, Toronto, Seoul and Tokyo that will be added by December, 2004, said Ron Cesana, Cargo 2000 project director at the recent Cargo 2000 Rollout in Frankfurt.
-Thus all airfreight moving to, from and between these destinations will be measured as to compliance with C2K standards.
-This also means that we will, for the first time, be able to publish statistics on the performance of these destinations from next year. We expect to be able to publish the first data by early spring already, he said.
-What you cannot measure, you cannot manage. The crucial importance of solid date is evident to all, and C2K will soon be able to deliver, he said.
