OCT 13, 2004 (newstodate): Icelandic ACMI provider, Air Atlanta Icelandic has signed a contract for delivery of a second Boeing 747-200SF freighter to Cathay Pacific.
Air Atlanta Icelandic now has a total of 12 Boeing 747-200/300 freighters in its fleet and has earlier said it expects to operate a total of 15 of these aircraft before Q3, 2005.
Cathay Pacific received its first Boeing 747-200SF from Air Atlanta in August this year for use on its routes to Europe and within Asia.
Air Atlanta Icelandic in August said it will take in a total of three such freighters "within four months", indicating that another Boeing freighter will be taken over before the end of next month.
