OCT 11, 2004 (newstodate): Emirates has increased its freighter capacity serving the European market for African perishables exports.
From October, Emirates SkyCargo operates weekly flights between Nairobi and Amsterdam, increasing its weekly cargo capacity from 26 on the airline's twice-daily passenger flights, to 110 tonnes.
The new service, Emirates SkyCargo's first freighter route into Africa, starts from Dubai through Johannesburg, South Africa, via Nairobi.
