OCT 18, 2004 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways has drawn up a plan to replace all ex-Soviet aircraft currently in the fleet.
The airline will instead go for a more fuel-efficient fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
The airline already operates three Boeing 767 and two Boeing 757 aircraft serving its international routes out of Tashkent Airport.
The ex-Soviet aircraft to be replaced include three IL-86, six IL62M, five TU-154B,and three to five IL-76TD aircraft
