NOV 24, 2004 (newstodate): Air Moldova, based at Chisinau, is in a difficult financial situation, according to industry sources.
They claim that the airline may have to cease operations if it does not find new financial means to meet its aircraft lease payments for the two Airbus A320 and Embraer 120 aircraft.
Air Moldova phased out its last remaining Russian-built aircraft TU-134, YAK-40 and YAK-42 in November this year.
